‹ What are some inexpensive things I can do to give my 2000 Ford Mustang some more power? — How can I gain horsepower for a 1979 mustang coupe? ›
I am 16 and just saw a 1998 mustang convertible for sale on the side of the road and was wondering…?
The car had 98,000 miles on it and I know that's not too great plus it was 4,900 $ I wouldn't buy that car just because of how many miles it has on it. I really like this kind of car and would like to know how many miles I should be looking for on a used car like this. Prices would also be helpful (for the car and insurance)
Thanks!
PS. please don't give me answers referring to "new cars" if I were to get any car it could be used

used cars usually figure on 15,000 a year for normal mileage.
price may be a little high.
insurance would depend on engine size. might be high for a 16 year old.

98,000 are a lots of miles. Maybe you can get the seller to bring down the price a bit. Don’t go by yourself to buy the car, take an adult that knows something about cars with you. Good luck!!!

That is actually low mileage for an eleven year old car. To get an
accurate price, check the Kelley Blue Book. It will tell price ranges for various different conditions of the car(fair, good, etc.). Average miles varies from about 12,000 to 15,000 per year. Insurance for a 16 year old person will be relatively high, especially with a car like a Mustang.
