66 mustang 4 speed shifter – going to reverse w/o T-Bar?
Hi, I can put my 66 in reverse without pulling on the T-Bar. I took the T-Bar out and it works. (The cable and spring work well). It seems that I may be missing something on the shifter assembly box but I have never seen a picture or drawing of one. Do you know what the problem may be? Has anyone seen a diagram and do you know where I can find a shifter box or parts (the part I am missing) for sale?

there is a place in oklahoma city called obsolete. i dont know if they supply mustang parts but their catalogs are usually pretty diagramed with the parts that they have available. if you got your hands on a mustang magazine of theirs and you would find your answer. im not sure if the fairlanes are the same because they are a much bigger car. but i know for sure they supply fairlanes because that where i get my parts from.
