Did the 1973 Mustangs that were build and sold in Mexico have such low hp engines as the US Mustangs??

The US Mustangs in 1973 only had about 150 bhp. However, I live in Mexico and see quite a lot of these vehicles still. These were build AND sold here in Mexico. ... there were no emissions controls then. Therefore, did these Mustangs retain the high performance ratings of the 1960's era Mustangs??
