it depends on the driver also. i. e. if one spins the tires and loses traction the other car has the advantage. but if all thing are equal, the hemi will smoke the pony car.
i’ve smoked mustangs and i got a hemi truck.

well the hemi would win but the new camaro SS would smoke them both!!!! even back in the day chevy would smoke them say tht its a race agaist a 69 COPO ZL1 CAMARO with 550hp, vs a 69 429 cobra jet stang gt500kr or wht ever they have for there high performace ones, vs a 69 charger rt 436 hemi or wht ever they have for there high performace one the camaro would win with little effort or if u had a 68 vette with the L-88 engine tht has like 10hp more then the copo camaro and also lighter ur get a double wam bam from chevy.

Your Hemi Charger – of course – has more ground stability/ (weight -due to engine size & overall width )
Keep the treads on back wheels : clean – front ones are’nt doin’ much , but steering !!
