how to make my 2001 ford mustang gt faster?
i have a yellow mustang i wanna know how to make it faster. What i upgraded was the cold intake. any ideas to what i could install nothing expensive like turbo.What engine parts improve speed

change the computer chip in it, or tweak it. . . you can buy a programmer from most any car parts catalog.

high performance filters/muffler don’t get a turbo get a supercharger (we are americans after all)

Get a programmer and rear end gears 3. 73 or 4. 10 really there are no engine parts to improve horsepower without tearing into the engine and that can get expensive

I’m sure you can find a set of performance headers for it, and performance dual exhaust, I’ve heard X pipes work good for those cars. Join a Mustang forum, they should be able to tell you more in there.

I would check out the selection of exhaust mufflers at Brenspeed. com. My brother owns a 2000 mustang and has purchased parts from this site and was really impressed with the quality on top of the price.
They actually break out each mustang exhaust package by price, which is nice, depending on what you have to spend.
