I have a horse for sale and its been for sale for a long time but not sold ..Help?
i have a trained, Red roan, Flashy BLM MUSTANG Gelding. hes smart , fast, barrel racer, rodeo, trail ,english, bareback, ect. hes been to auctions, up for sale on all horse selling websites from craigslist to Equine now.com.. hes 700 but i might drop it .. due to the need of selling im located in Western Idaho.. if you can you can either pick him up or pay for half the shipping must go asap!! i have to many horses and this one has been pulled out of the hat to go.

Have you put an add about the horse in the local newspaper??
If not try that, people might have not seen that your horse is for sale.
You should keep the price at that but if they make an offer to you thats under the price, i would take it.
If your trying to sell him try getting people to see what your offering.

With the econmy in a slump nobody wants to buy right now. Go by local tack shops and post flyers. If you get Horse magazines tha tare local place an ad in there. But right now nobody wants to buy.
Im also curious what is considered a long time to you. I had a horse for sale for 2 years and recently sold him before the economy went under.
And to reinforce my statment that nobody is buying. It even goes for the auction barns. a perfectly healthy Missouri Fox Trotter and her filly where at the auctions in Penn a few weeks ago since nobody wants to buy the meat buyer bought the couple and put them in the kill pens. A meat buyer must get a certain amount of horses before he can transport them to mexico or canada. Luckily Another Chance for horses was able to make a deal with the meat buyers and i will be recieving them soon.
That jsut goes to show that NOBODY is buying right now. But please don’t send them to auction. if you can aford to feed another mouth until the winter is up then do so. But if you must give him up give it to a rescue group not the auction barn.
Recently the influck in horses goign through auction is just fueling the slaughter economy and i can’t rescue them all.
