I have Ford Horse (mustang?) emblem. Can anyone tell me what car it came from?

Got it at a yard sale, I thought it went to a mustang, but find it's a little different. It's slightly over 6", tail is strait back (mustang isn't) it it somewhat pitted chrome (old) on back, says "Fomoco" with N.M.P circled, then D5ZB-3216-AB.(the 3 could be an 8). Anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance.

It honestly came from a Ford Mustang. (A. K. A. Pony)
That is the only kind of car ever made that has that
emblem. The Mustang was named after the wild horse
called “Mustangs”.

That Emblem is for a 1975 Mustang. That Part number tell me (D5ZB-3216-AB) D-1970′s 5= the firth year of the decade, and Z=Mustang. I’m not sure if 3216 is the side badge or the emblem on the grill. Either, you answer is 1975 Mustang.
