buy a real car, jk, its your priority body work impresses the girls, engine work impresses the guys. which impresses you more? that should be your choice

i’ve seen your car, well, the back seat anyway, and i think its bad ass!!! (oh, and you are too!) can’t wait to see you again!

I would say u modify the engine and then the body.

Oh you gotta modify the engine first! That way you’ll start out as a sleeper-Stang, and then make it look as fast as it will be.
I would start out with a good supercharger and cold air intake system and upgrade the headders -the cat back exhaust is already pretty good, but if you really felt the need, it could be upgraded a bit. If you have a manual trans, a Hurst short-shift kit is performance helpful. You can shorten the rear end gears, perhaps get a more capable transmission to handle the added power and a high perfomance clutch system.
The suspension (Motorsports/SVT) and brakes (Brembo big disc kit) should be upgraded, and to begin the looks and keeping with the performance upgrade, a set of lighweight 18″ (19″ or 20″ if you prefer) rims with Toyo Proxes T1-S 275/40ZR-18′s all around. Also a must in my book, is to improve the headlight system with an H4 conversion along with a Xenon HID headlight conversion, which will greatly increase visibility at night as well as make your GT stand out from the others. Only the latest model Saleens offer that as an option.
Have fun!

start with the engine. no one wants to see a cool looking car that can’t preform. i would suggest starting with intake and exhaust, you get more bang for your buck. after that it all depends on what you want.
i am not a big fan of body kits if that is what you were thinking. be picky if you do decide to go that route (some do look really nice), a lot of people, at least in my opinion, don’t realize how silly their car looks.

I would say, modify the engine first. Personally, I would rather have a fast car, rather than have a good looking one. Besides, it really confuses people when they think you have something stock, when you don’t.

You can go here for performance parts www. mustangtuning. com

Its all about power man, but ya kinda need to keeps some looks to it. I drive a 66 barracuda with a 318, hooker headers, flowmaster american thunder dual exhaust, weiand belt-driven supercharger, cammed 3/4 of inch, sparco racing bucket seats, rock crusher 4 speed transmission, dual 600 cfm edelbrock carbs, plum crazy purple, kreger rims wrapped with mickey thompson 60′s on the back and mickey thompson 90′s.

Put a supercharger on that engine. If it’s a 4. 6L (pretty sure it is) there are plenty of places to find performance parts. Best type of supercharger to get would probably be procharger, because they are intercooled and give a ton more power. Upgrade the throttle body, and get cold air intake, then work on the body.

Go for the motor. . . . here’s some stuff I’ve give to others. . . .
First thing – you might want to check out a few Ford dealerships and ask the Service Manager if any of the technicians drive GTs. Tell him what you’re doing (and how much you love Fords) and see if you can talk to one of them for a few minutes.
Better exhaust – larger pipes (not too large) along with real duals from the head back, and low restriction mufflers will net you around 10-15 HP, maybe a little more with the 4. 6L in your GT.
Underdrive pulleys – smaller pulleys on the AC, waterpump, power steering and alternator, along with a corrected size belt will get you a few more horses in the range of 5-10. You could get a few more by replacing the waterpump with an electric pump, but it would only be about 5 or so (not really cost effective on water pump replacement). If you do mostly city driving, do NOT replace the alternator pulley or it won’t charge your battery enough.
A low restriction, hi flow air filter, like K&N, will bump up the numbers a few more, in the range of 5-10 HP with the V8. If you wanted to swap out the entire airbox for a K&N Filtercharger unit will up the horses about 20-25. If you’ve got a cold air kit or Ram air from underneath or thru the hood, well, that’s about another 3 to 5 at any type of speed.
Check out the different computer upgrades that are available for that car. I believe that you’ll find 3 different ones. Computer upgrades vary widely from different manufacturers. Some are adjustable on the fly, some are programmable if you plug your laptop into the car, and some are just replacement chips. You need to remember your capabilities if you choose one that is not just a direct replacement.
There are a few other things you can do, performance wise but not HP wise.
Weight – there is about 35 pounds of noise deadening material in there. The two layers over the spare tire alone weigh in at about 10 lbs. There is a lot more in the doors as well. Be careful about the stuff under the hood – it’s also a heat shield.
Make sure the tires are at the proper pressure – less rolling resistance. Lower pressure works well for drag applications, not daily driving. Over pressure will simply wear them sooner as well.

Great car . . . . . its hard to decide

go with the engine 1st. . . then the body because some upgrades on the engine. . . . . like an intercooler preform better with certain types of body kit. . . better to buy the front bumper after you have the parts in than to buy a bumper, paing the car, then have to buy another bumper to accomodate your upgrades
