You could have a problem with the valves on those cylinders, or the spark gap, which will both cause them to burn hotter.

your timing on those cylinders is off a bit or you are using the wrong type of gasoline

Ignition timing, high octane, and engine overheating.
Sometimes the engine temp. guage stays in the middle but it is running too hot.
See if you are not slowing losing coolant in your radiator.

You may be running the wrong type of spark plug in the cylinder. . . Too hot and they can mess up and burn. . . (also running non platnums sometimes I’ve heard also )

Best bet would be to go back factory with some Motorcraft platnums and see if it takes care of the problem as I’ve never seen them burn in a car yet. . .

I would try a different heat range plug. The longer the electrode the more the heat builds up . A colder plug will have a shorter electrode. – I could be wrong on this so ask the guys at the part store and look at the length of the new plugs. It worth a try at only a few bucks.

I know this sounds silly, but other then what was answered by others already you might just want to make sure that the plugs are properly set in the cylinder heads. I know it sounds like a very remote possibility, but I have witnessed 3 mustangs of coworkers with similar symptoms (an ’01GT and a ’03 cobra. . . even a guy with a ’95GT). I researched a little bit by looking at the cars and plugs of these cars and on all occasions the plugs were less then finger tight. I asked the owners about this and they all tuned their cars themselves, but just could not (or did not have the proper tools) to set the plug properly into the head (tight fit without the proper tools).

Other than that you might want to make sure the plug wires for for cylinder #6 and #5 check out as well. Hope this helps. . good luck.
