I have a car with a 4.6 v8 ohc. very simmilar to the one in mustangs. can I use dohc performance parts?
It's a 1997 T-bird, It is hard to find parts for the car, but if you added an extra cam it is the same engine as the Mustangs of the same era. Can I use parts for those cars.

nooo dohc is not the same. The stock mustang gt is the same engine you have. Why are you trying for DOHC. Forget DOHC. Just look at 4. 6L sohc. Stock mustang gt will work fine. some external parts may be different tho. Check on TCCOA. com for any questions The DOHC was only cobra and mach 1 mustangs.
