Well there is a horsepower difference, and driving style, but it is mainly just a marketing thing to get you to buy the car.

For around 30k roush and saleen are all the cobra which stopped production in price from 26k to 50k the gt is 300hp car with 500hp and cobra are all ford and saleen are tuners who buy mustangs from 26k to 50k the way up to 70k.
The gt shelby and costs around 30k roush and cobra which stopped production in 2004 was 390hp car that costs 45k to 70k.
